Privacy
In short: there is no sign-up, we never ask for a name, a phone number or an e-mail, and the site itself sets no cookies. To count your progress and the overall statistics of the questions, your browser gets a random anonymous number.
What is kept in your browser
- the browser's anonymous number (random, not linked to anything);
- your answers: the question number, the answer chosen, whether it was correct, when and how long you thought;
- saved questions, the chosen category, an unfinished exam and practice, the quiz settings;
- a copy of pages and questions for working offline.
All of this lives in the browser's storage (localStorage, IndexedDB, cache) and disappears when you clear the site's data in the browser settings.
What reaches our server
Your answers with the browser's anonymous number: the question number, the answer chosen, whether it was correct, whether you opened the correct answer before, how long you thought, when you answered, where (question page, practice, exam, quiz) and the version of the question bank.
Why: to show the overall statistics of the questions and, later, to carry your progress between devices.
What we do not keep
Your name, e-mail, phone number, IP address, data about your browser or device. The server needs the IP address only for a minute, to limit the number of requests, and never writes it down.
Overall statistics
A question's page shows how many people answered it and what share got it right the first time. The figures appear only once at least 20 browsers have answered. Nobody but us sees individual answers or browser numbers.
Who else sees the requests
The site runs on a rented OVH server and reaches visitors through Cloudflare (protection from attacks and page delivery). Cloudflare handles the requests under its own privacy policy and may set its own technical cookies to protect against bots.
There are no ads or third-party analytics yet. Before turning them on we will update this page and, if needed, ask for your consent.
How long, and how to delete
For now the records on the server are kept without a time limit: they are anonymous and not linked to you. To delete the data in your browser, clear the site's data in its settings. To delete the records on the server too, write to us at [email protected] with the browser's anonymous number shown below, before clearing the data.
